Tourism Minister for Queensland, Kate Jones is on a Mission to Attract the World’s Biggest Casino Developers

A team of officials will now be led by Queensland Tourism Minister Kate Jones to lure the world’s largest casino developers to the state. In the next coming weeks, officials will start to fly to the gambling centers, Las Vegas and Macau. They will be meeting with Caesar’s Entertainment and MGM Grand. In the meantime, there are only two casino licenses in Queensland, one on the Gold Coast and another one in Cairns.

“Our strategy is all based around attracting more visitors who stay longer and spend more in Queensland to create jobs for locals,” Ms. Jones said.

Queensland – Ultimate Goal

The goal of the team is to see fresh, top-rated casino resorts being built in Queensland. Moreover, being completed with accommodation, gaming, shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.

Ms. Jones told 9NEWS that she has been approached by the world’s most successful entertainment corporations who are keen on investing in Queensland. However, they are still working to make sure that they get the right balance for Queenslanders.

“This will broaden our economy,” Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate said.

In addition, the trade mission can also be a roll of the dice in various ways. Moreover, the funded trip that gets the tourism minister in Vegas for the coming Jeff Horn world title match on the 9th of June.

“As Innovation Minister, Kate Jones was already in America for the world’s largest innovation convention,” the statement read.

Queensland – The Fight

The first date of the match was initially set to the 14th of April. Queensland Tourism Minister is said to be paying for her accommodation in Las Vegas. However, the opposition leader, Deb Frecklington has labeled the trip a junket, an outrage to spend tax payer’s money.

“The date of the fight changed (initially April 14). The Minister is paying for her own accommodation in Las Vegas.”
